This Week in Foodie TV

Iron Chef America airs a special episode from the historic Marine Corps Base Hawaii that pairs Iron Chefs with experiences cooks from the Army, Navy, and Marine branches of the military. Plus, just in time for summer, it's "Grilling Week" on Food Network!

TUESDAY:
  • 6:00 PM: Roadtrip with G. Gervin (Cooking Channel, 30 min.)
    • The series premiere features Chef Gervin in Charleston, SC profiling several popular local eateries
  • 7:00 PM: Chopped (Food Network, 1 hr.)
    • Food Network's "Grilling Week" gets underway
    • It's "Grilling Week" on Food Network and Chopped gets in on the act by giving chefs a challenge to grill their dishes on an episode featuring fancy Wagyu beef paired with stout beer and marshmallow spread
WEDNESDAY:
  • 3:30 PM: Throwdown with Bobby Flay* (Cooking Channel, 30 min.)
    • Bobby challenges Drew Cerza, aka the "Wing King" and founder of the National Buffalo Wing Festival
  • 7:00 PM: Restaurant: Impossible (Food Network, 1 hr.)
    • "Grilling Week" continues as Robert visits Pollard's BBQ in Memphis, trying to help resuscitate the restaurant as the struggles from going from take-out to full-scale restaurant continue
THURSDAY:
  • 3:00 PM: Eat St.* (Cooking Channel, 30 min.)
    • Italian food from the Mangia Mangia Mobile trailer in San Diego, as well as New Orleans seafood served from a retired fire truck
  • 8:00 PM: Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern* (Travel Channel, 1 hr.)
    • Andrew visits Hawaii to try local favorites including poi, octopus, and everyone's favorite canned meat, SPAM
FRIDAY:
  • 4:00 PM: The Best Thing I Ever Ate* (Food Network, 30 min.)
    • Chef Bobby Flay and Chopped host Ted Allen talk of some of their best barbecue experiences
  • 7:00 PM: Mystery Diners (Food Network, 30 min.)
    • The owner of "Big Earl's Greasy Eats" in Cave Creek, AZ, thinks that thousands of dollars in unaccounted alcohol is due to rumored unauthorized late-night staff parties
SATURDAY:
  • 9:00 AM: All-Star Grill Fest: South Beach* (Food Network, 30 min.)
    • ICA on location in Hawaii
    • TV chefs including Bobby Flay, Rachel Ray, and Giada de Laurentiis and more gather in Miami for a day of grilling up their favorite BBQ recipes
  • 11:30 AM: The Perfect 3 (Cooking Channel, 30 min.)
    • TP3 profiles the fantastic flavors of Indian cuisine, featuring dishes focused on Indian staples curry, cardamom, and coconut
  • 7:00 PM: Iron Chef America (Food Network, 1 hr.)
    • A special Saturday night all-new episode of ICA that features Iron Chefs Cora, Symon and Morimoto teaming up with cooks from the Army, Navy, and Marine Corps in a special battle at the Marine Corps Base Hawaii on the island of Oahu
SUNDAY:
  • 8:30 AM: The Best Thing I Ever Made (Food Network, 30 min.)
    • A grilling special featuring a perfect grilled rib-eye steak and Vietnames-inspired chicken wings
  • 6:00 PM: Food Network Star (Food Network, 1 hr.)
    • It's "Fashion Week" in NYC and the contestants are challenged with giving some bland dishes a makeover for guest judge Ted Allen
